Can a single VCF file created from Excel work on both Android and iPhone devices?

ReplyThanks 2025/12/13 13:53:13 0 0

Hello Everyone,

I manage contacts in Excel and need to transfer the same contact list to multiple devices, including Android phones and iPhones. I am unsure whether the VCF file generated from Excel will be compatible across different platforms. Some people suggest creating separate files for each device, while others say one VCF file is enough. I want to avoid repeating the conversion process multiple times. My concern is whether the contacts will appear correctly on both platforms, including phone numbers, email addresses, and contact names.

Hey,

A VCF file that is properly created is based on universal vCard standards and thus, it is compatible with any device running Android or iOS. The problem, however, is that converters sometimes produce files that are non-standard or incomplete. An efficient Excel to VCF converter makes sure that the file can be shared between platforms without any issues. The VCF file that resulted from my contact conversion with WholeClear Excel to vCard Converter was the same file, which worked flawlessly on both Android and iPhone. It is validated here that a single well-organized VCF file can serve different platforms.
